trigg arrestCADIZ, Ky. (9/12/17) – Kentucky State Police arrested a Trigg County man following a vehicle pursuit and collision.

Police say Trooper Aaron Acree attempted to stop a Ford SUV for speeding and no registration at approximately 11 p.m. on Main Street in Cadiz. The driver did not stop, and instead accelerated to speeds of over 100 MPH while traveling on Kentucky 68/80 and then on Kings Chapel Road.  While on Kings Chapel Road, the driver lost control of the vehicle causing it to overturn numerous times.
 
A passenger in the vehicle, Leslie A. Sisco, 22 of Hopkinsville was transported by ambulance to Jennie Stuart Medical Center for treatment of non-life threatening injuries received during the collision.
 
The driver, Preston S. Hightower, 22 of Cadiz was treated at the scene of the collision for minor injuries. He was then arrested and charged with speeding, no registration plates, first-degree fleeing or evading police in a motor vehicle, first-degree wanton endangerment, aggravated driving under the influence - second offense, operating on a suspended license, no insurance and possession of marijuana.  He was lodged in the Christian County Jail.
 
KSP was assisted by Cadiz Police Department, Trigg County Sheriff Department, Trigg County Rescue Squad and Trigg County Ambulance Service
