Small Business Person of the Year, Regina Webb, Files for 20st District of the House of Representatives

reginal webbBOWLING GREEN, KY (2/17/12) – Republican business owner Regina Webb filed paperwork in Frankfort to run for the 20th district of the state House of Representatives. Webb is a small business owner of the Regina Webb Salon and Spa in Bowling Green and this past year was honored by the Bowling Green Chamber of Commerce as small business person of the year.

Webb is excited about this opportunity to represent her community in Frankfort, “Filing to run today was just the first step. My first plan of action will be to travel across the district and meet with as many people as I can—civic organizations, business leaders, church groups, and other parents and grandparents like myself—to find out what issues are important to them so that I can be the best advocate in Frankfort for our community.” Webb said she wants to bring common sense back to Frankfort, and believes her private sector experience will also be a valuable asset.

As a conservative, mother, and business woman, Webb says lower taxes, protecting the rights of the unborn, and getting government out of the way of business will be at the forefront of her campaign.

Regina has been married to her husband, Brent, for 39 years. They have two children and four grandchildren. A native of Edmonson County, she is an active member of Living Hope Baptist Church and volunteers for the church’s college ministry.
