CALLOWAY COUNTY, KY (2/20/12) – On February 18, 2012, the Kentucky State Police Post 1 received a “shots fired” complaint on Jones Road in Calloway County.
During the investigation, Kentucky State Police discovered that Jamie Forrester, 29, of Farmington, KY was alleged to have fired several rounds from a firearm into an outbuilding at that location. Kentucky State Police made contact with Mr. Forrester at his residence on Mark Duncan Lane, but he refused to exit and barricaded himself inside his residence.
After several hours of negotiations, Mr. Forrester exited the residence and was taken into custody. Mr. Forrester was lodged in the Calloway County Jail on charges of attempted murder and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. Further charges may be pending.
Kentucky State Police were assisted on scene by Calloway County Sheriff Department and Murray Calloway EMS.
