BOWLING GREEN, KY - Jesse Rufus, age 62, of Bowling Green, KY, and a native of Jackson, Tennessee, and a former residence of Syracuse, New York; passed away Sunday, February 19, 2012, at Medical Center in Bowling Green, KY.

Jesse was employed by General Motors Corvette Plant and retired after 30 years of service. He served in the US Air Force. Jesse enjoyed bowling, and he loved to play poker and cards and sports.

Jesse was the son of the late R. B. Rufus Sr and Ruby Holt Rufus of Syracuse NY who survives.

Jesse leaves Melinda Rufus his wife of 16 years, of Bowling Green,KY. His children; Ms. Ashleigh Rufus, Bowling Green, KY and Mr. Alexander (Jamila) Jones, Dayton, Ohio; Four Sisters: Ms. Barbara Johnson, Mrs. Debbie (Bruce) Kinsey, Mrs. Tammy (Kenneth) McMillin, Ms. Janice Rufus, all of Syracuse, New York. Four Brothers: Mr. R. B. Rufus Jr, Mr. Charles Rufus, Mr. Lester Rufus, Mr. David Rufus, all of Syracuse, New York; Two Grand Children; Andrew and Jaylah. And a host of many relatives and friends.

Visitation will be on February 22, 2012 from 4:00PM - 8:00PM at Burnam & Son Mortuary, Inc. with funeral service on February 25, 2012 at Garland Brothers Funeral Home.
