BOWLING GREEN, KY - Vannessia Diane Boards, age 55, of Bowling Green, KY, a native of Smiths Grove, KY; passed away Thursday, February 16, 2012, at Greenview Regional Hospital in Bowling Green, KY.

Ms. Boards was a former employee of Beech Bend Amusement Park and was a member of Mount Zion Baptist Church. A 1975 graduate of Bowling Green Business College.

Vannessia was the daughter of Rev. Dr. Charles Boards of Bowling Green, KY and the late Helen Pillow Boards.

Vannessia leaves her children to cherish her memories; Terrence Boards, Bowling Green, KY (Nyree Carter)and ZaKyia Boards, Bowling Green, KY. Stepdaughter; MaKesha Byrd, Bowling Green, KY. Longtime Companion; Phillip Byrd, Bowling Green, KY. Three Sisters: Gloria Boards, Alice Boards, Valorie Boards, all of Bowling Green, KY. One Brother: William "Bill" Boards, Bowling Green, KY. Nine Grand Children: JaTiya, TaNiya, Ahmerian, Kylatje, Kylan, Kiyahn, Angelica, Malik, Dajjah. Goddaughter; Melanie Crabtree, Bowling Green, KY; A host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, many relatives and friends.

Visitation will be on February 23, 2012 at 12:00PM - 1:00PM at Mount Zion Baptist Church - Bowling Green with funeral service at 1:00PM.

Funeral arrangements handled through Burnam & Son.
