Maroons rushingMADISONVILLE, Ky. (9/7/17) — Madisonville-North Hopkins will take its rushing attack on the road to Union County on Friday night.

The Maroons have rushed for 1,343 yards in three games. Madisonville-North Hopkins features two rushers with over 400 yards apiece.

Leading the Maroons in rushing, Aaron Miller has rushed 48 times for 492 yards and five touchdowns. Ranking second behind Miller for the Maroons' rushing column, Jariah Hightower has rushed 59 times for 405 yards and four TDs.

Madisonville-North Hopkins has managed to outscore its first three opponents 114-77.

Currently, Krey Cunningham leads the Madisonville-North Hopkins defensive unit with 20 tackles.

Madisonville-North Hopkins defeated Murray 53-7 in Week 2 to claim its second straight win.

Union County is 2-0 after opening its season with back-to-back wins over Marion County and Webster County. The Braves have outscored their first two opponents 98-21.

Offensively for Union County, quarterback Jacob Winters has completed nine of 14 passes for 323 yards and five touchdowns. Winters has thrown three interceptions.

On the ground, Christopher Bledsoe has rushed 21 times for 204 yards and three touchdowns for the Braves.

As a team, Union County has recorded a dozen interceptions through its first two games in the 2017 season.

Kickoff for Madisonville-North Hopkins-Union County football game is set for 7 p.m..
