Madisonville North Hopkins MaroonsMURRAY, Ky. (9/23/17) — Madisonville-North Hopkins cruised to its second straight convincing victory on the gridiron on Friday night, shutting out host Calloway County 63-0 in a Class 4A, District 1 game.

With the win, Madisonville-North Hopkins improved 4-2 overall and 2-0 in Class 4A, District 1.

Calloway County dropped to 0-4 overall and 0-1 in the district with the loss.

Madisonville-North Hopkins rushed for 301 yards in the win. Leading the Maroons on the ground, Jariah Hightower rushed 10 times for 83 yards and two touchdowns.

Chipping in offensively for the Maroons, Dathan Brackney, Aaron Miller and Nathan Buntin rushed for one touchdown apiece.

Defensively for Madisonville-North Hopkins, Marquise Parker and Emilo Arispe recorded one interception each. Parker returned his pick for a touchdown in the Maroons' triumph.

Madisonville-North Hopkins is slated to visit Hopkinsville for a Class 4A, District 1 game on Friday, Sept. 29.
