Hopkins County Central StormCADIZ, Ky. (10/15/17) — Visiting Hopkins County Central carried a 14-6 lead into halftime but couldn't hold off determined Trigg County in the second half of a non-district high school football game on Friday night. Trigg County erupted for 47 points in the second half to pull away to defeat Hopkins County Central 53-14.

With the loss, Hopkins County Central slipped to 2-6.

Trigg County improved to 5-4 with the win.

Quarterback Jakobe Bridges led Trigg County to the win, completing 16 of 27 passes for 264 yards and two touchdowns while also rushing for 93 yards and two more TDs.

Offensively for Hopkins County Central, quarterback Jackson Bergant passed for 231 yards but threw six interceptions.

Blasin Moore led the Storm in receiving, reeling in 13 receptions for 144 yards.

Hopkins County Central is slated to host Hopkinsville for a Class 4A, District 1 game on Friday, Oct. 20.
