MURRAY, Ky. (5/14/13) – The Murray-Calloway Endowment for Healthcare will dedicate the Spring Creek Health Care Brick Garden in honor of Judge Executive Larry and Janie Elkins, Wednesday, May 22, at 11 am, at Spring Creek located at 1401 South 16th Street in Murray.
“We are honored to recognize Judge Elkins and his wife Janie for their donation in helping us create a beautiful area where residents and families can enjoy the outdoors,” said Keith Travis, VP of Institutional Development at MCCH.
The Elkins’ have special ties to Spring Creek and have had multiple family members that have been residents at the facility. Judge Elkins, who visits the facility on a regular basis, has always put focus on keeping the facility updated and continually improving the quality of care in order to make it the best place to receive long term care and short term rehab services in the community. Judge Elkins was also instrumental in combining long term care services that were previously at MCCH and West View into one location now known as Spring Creek Health Care Nursing and Rehab Center.
“The Judge has always been the biggest supporter in Calloway for Spring Creek and no one deserves this honor more. I really appreciate both Janie and Judge Elkins for supporting our residents, employees, and the families of both,” said Sandra Dick, VP of Spring Creek Health Care.
Dedication bricks offer a wonderful way to honor or memorialize a loved one, or celebrate and commemorate a special occasion in your life. If you are interested in learning more about naming opportunities available with the Endowment for Healthcare, contact Travis at 270-762-1908.
