Red Devils are Equipped to Handle Aces

football surfky 300OWENSBORO, Ky. (9/6/2013) – Owensboro High School has run over both Daviess County and Apollo in the last two weeks. Now OHS is prepared to do that same to Owensboro Catholic. Historically, Owensboro has had the advantage over the Aces, but Owensboro Catholic has been able to handle the Red Devils the last couple of years.

This game is the biggest game of the early season for Owensboro because it will decide the City-County Championship.

“Both teams (Red Devils and Aces) will have to survive the first quarter,” said OHS Head Coach Joe Prince. Prince pointed out that Catholic has an explosive offense, so his players have to play smart to keep up with that.

In both games for OHS this year they have cause turnovers and scored early and often. Owensboro has the better athletes but they must be in condition to play against Owensboro Catholics up-tempo offense.

Tonight Owensboro Catholic (2-0) will travel to Rash Stadium to take on the Owensboro Red Devils (2-0), kickoff is set for 7 p.m.
