Daviess, Owensboro, Owensboro Catholic Gain Momentum

daviesscounty panthers 01 300OWENSBORO, Ky. (10/28/13) - With only one more week left in the regular season, last week gave Owensboro, Owensboro Catholic, and Daviess County a great opportunity to gain momentum heading into the playoffs.

Offense was not very hard to come by last week; all three teams scoring above 40 points.

First, Owensboro traveled to Hopkins County Central to take on struggling Storm team at 0 - 8. The Red Devils would cruise to victory quite easily 43 - 8.

Not to be outdone, Owensboro Catholic traveled to McLean County to play their final district game against the Cougars. Catholic also cruised to an easy victory 49 - 18, with the win the Aces clinched the District title.

Then, the game of the night: Daviess County made the trip Marshall County to take on the Marshals. This game featured two high octane offenses and they did not disappoint. The Panthers prevailed, winning 51 - 44.

More details coming for these games later in the week.
