Aces Look to Close Season with Momentum

basic football2 300OWENSBORO, Ky (10/31/13) – The Aces traveled to McLean County last week to take on the Cougars. It took almost the first half until the Aces would start to pull away; Catholic went on to win 49 – 18.

This week, Owensboro Catholic (7 - 2) will travel to Barren County to take on the Trojans. Barren County (4 – 5) has a solid team, but the Trojans have won two straight games.

Head Coach John Edge for the Aces told SurfKY News, “We cannot come out flat like last week again. This is good matchup for us and this game will prepare us for the playoffs.”

The main key this week for Owensboro Catholic is stopping Barren County’s 6‘2“, 200 pound quarterback. He might not have a big arm, but the Trojan’s quarterback can throw off boot plays. So, the Aces will have to be play disciplined and Catholic cannot fall for play action plays.

The game will be played in Barren County and it will kick off at 7 p.m.
