Cason Breaks Own Record During Lady Aces' Third Place Finish

golf3 300-surfFORT KNOX, Ky. (8/18/14) — Owensboro Catholic golfer Olivia Cason continues to turn in stellar performances.

On Saturday, Cason shot a 4-under par 69, breaking her own school record during the Central Hardin Invitational at Lindsey Golf Course. Cason's effort led the experienced Owensboro Catholic unit to a third-place finish in the Central Hardin-hosted girls' high school golf tournament.

Aiding Owensboro Catholic to the third-place finish, Rachel Bahnick shot an 89, Emily Lyons fired a 92 and Logan Jenkins contributed a 93.

The tournament featured 18 girls' high school teams. Sacred Heart, a highly-touted team out of Louisville, won the Central Hardin Invitational title. Elizabethtown followed Sacred Heart, placing second in the tournament.

Girls' prep golf squads from numerous Kentucky counties made up the field for the Central Hardin Invitational.
