Sheriff’s Deputies Report ‘Bust’ of Marijuana-Growing Operation

drug arrest marijuana 02 300OHIO COUNTY, Ky. (5/13/13) – On Wednesday, May 8, at approximately 5:04 p.m., deputies with the Ohio County Sheriff’s Department received information that marijuana was being cultivated on a property on Ky. Hwy. 1414 in Ohio County.

According to Major Steve Kimble of the Ohio County Sheriff’s Department, officers went to investigate. Authorities alleged they found marijuana being grown in the front yard in containers on a trailer. Narcotics detectives obtained a search warrant and allegedly collected approximately 116 marijuana plants on the property. Authorities said they also located marijuana and paraphernalia within the home.

Both occupants were charged with Cultivating Marijuana, 1st offense, Possession of Marijuana, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

Leonard Bratcher was arrested at approximately 8:11 p.m., and his wife Karen Bratcher was cited.
