Free Arthritis Exercise Program will be Offered at Senior Center

arthritis-foundOWENSBORO, Ky. (8/19/14) — GRADD is partnering with the Arthritis Foundation to present a free exercise program, 'Walk with Ease,' on Wednesday and Friday mornings this fall at the Ohio County Senior Center, 2320 State Highway 69 North, Hartford.

The one-hour classes will begin at 9:00 a.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 27 and will meet twice weekly through Oct. 10.

This program is designed for people of all ages with arthritis, either male or female and of any fitness level. It is also open to individuals without arthritis who would like to begin a regular walking regimen.

If you can be on your feet for 10 minutes without increased pain, you can likely participate successfully in these classes. The program can be modified to accommodate special needs. Each class will begin with health information, stretching and strengthening exercises, and motivational tips.

For more information or to sign up for these classes, please contact Ohio County Senior Center coordinator Brenda Renfrow at (270) 298-4460.
