'Run to Kingdom Come' Half Marathon set for Aug. 23

run-to-kingdm-comeWHITESBURG, Ky. (8/18/14) — The 'Run to Kingdom Come' half-marathon will be held at 8 a.m., Aug. 23.

The 13.1-mile race along the scenic crest of Pine Mountain is sponsored by the Pine Mountain Trail Conference.

The race starts on U.S. 119 near Whitesburg and runs along the Pine Mountain Trail to Kingdom Come State Park. Prizes will be awarded for top finishers by age group and gender.

The registration fee is $55 through Aug. 22.

Camping, food and music will also be available.
