Blue-White Scrimmage Set for Aug. 25

uk volleyball1 300LEXINGTON, Ky. (8/15/13) – Fans will have a chance to get their first glimpse of the No. 17 Kentucky volleyball team Sunday, Aug. 25 at 5 p.m. ET, as the Wildcats host the annual Blue/White scrimmage. Admission is free and doors will open one hour prior to the event.
 
Following the scrimmage, fans will have the opportunity to engage in a special meet-and-greet picnic with the 2013 Wildcats.
 
Regular season action for the Wildcats begins Aug. 30 in Long Beach, Calif. UK will open its home schedule at Memorial Coliseum on Friday, Sept. 6 at 7 p.m. ET with a tilt vs. Virginia Commonwealth.
 
Kentucky's Memorial Coliseum will play host to the NCAA Regionals Dec. 13-14. UK is one of four sites selected for the Sweet 16 and Elite Eight matchups with one team advancing to the Final Four in Seattle, Wash., from the Lexington Region. This marks the second time in three seasons Memorial Coliseum will host this premier volleyball event.
