LEXINGTON, Ky. (6/17/13) – Chris Tomlin is kicking off The Burning Lights Tour on June 21 at the Big Ticket Festival in Gaylord, MI. Louie Giglio, the pastor of Passion City Church in Atlanta, is taking time to join the tour speaking at various venues to go a long with the performance. Tomlin and Giglio will be stopping in Lexington at Rupp Arena on October 13.

Pre-sale information for the tour is available at www.christomlin.com/tour. Tickets go on sale to the public Friday, June 21 at 10 a.m. For more information, call the Lexington Center Ticket Office at (859) 233-3535.

This is Tomlin’s tenth record and he doesn’t plan to stop there. The Burning Lights album, released on January 8 of this year, reached the number one spot in the Christian/Gospel genre on iTunes the first day of release. The top-selling album also debuted number one on Billboard’s Top 200.

“I want to write songs that people sing to God. There's nothing wrong with a three-minute pop song, but I want these songs to be special to the church. There's more of a laser focus on that than ever,” said Tomlin.

Tomlin is a Grammy award-winning artist and been nominated on eight different occasions. He has also been awarded with ten No. 1 radio singles, 21 Dove Awards, a platinum album and four gold discs.
