Kentucky State Trooper Injured in Helicopter Crash

ksp news 300EVANSTON, Ky. (7/30/13) – On Monday July 29, 2013 at 10:55 A.M. Post 13 Hazard received a call of a helicopter crash in the Evanston community of Breathitt County.
 
Kentucky State Police (KSP) units from Post 13 Hazard and Post 9 Pikeville responded to the scene. DEA and Kentucky State Police were conducting an ongoing investigation in the Evanston community when the helicopter went down.
 
The pilot and the Trooper on board were airlifted for their injuries.
 
The names of the injured are not being released at this time. The accident remains under investigation by the Kentucky State Police.
