madisonville-cc-center-clrMADISONVILLE, Ky. (2/25/14) - Madisonville Community College will be hosting the first annual Transfer Week March 3-7.

Students and community members interested in transferring will have the opportunity to meet with representatives to learn about admissions, program information, student services, student life, scholarships, and financial aid during the following events on MCC’s North Campus, 2000 College Drive, Madisonville.

Dates to remember:

March 3 - Western Kentucky University-Owensboro Campus Free Transfer Day
Representatives will be available from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. in the Multipurpose Room – 1st floor, John H. Gray Building. All application and transcript fees will be waived for students transferring from MCC to WKU-O on this day.

March 4 - MCC Transfer Fair
MCC students interested in transferring to a four year institution will have the opportunity to talk with representatives from the following colleges:
Austin Peay State University – ROTC, Brescia University, Campbellsville University, Georgetown College, Kentucky State University, Kentucky Wesleyan College, Lindsey Wilson College, Murray State University, Sullivan University, University of Kentucky, University of Phoenix, and Western Kentucky University. Transfer fair will be held from 10:30 a.m. until 1 p.m. in the Student Center of the John H. Gray.
 
March 5 - Transfer Madness
MCC along with other KCTCS colleges and four-year institutions will be partnering to host the 2nd annual online statewide transfer fair. Tagged as “Transfer Madness,” the event will run from 9 a.m. until 9 p.m. CT and students will have the unique opportunity of chatting online with transfer advisers, checking scholarship opportunities, downloading materials, and more.

March 6 - Murray State University – Free Transfer Day
Students interested in transferring to Murray State University in the Summer or Fall 2014 semester are encouraged to attend.  On-site advising, transfer credit evaluation, free MSU applications and MCC transcripts will be available.

Students can apply in advance from February 27-March 5.  Representatives will be available from 9:30 a.m. until 2 p.m. in room 101 of the John H. Gray building.
Computers will be available from 10:30 a.m. until 1 p.m. in the Student Center for students interested in attending the virtual transfer fair.

Participants can also register to win great prizes -- scholarships, iPads, Kindle Fires, iPod Nano, iTunes gift cards, and basketballs autographed by Coach Rick Pitino and Coach John Calipari.
