CENTRAL CITY, Ky. (8/18/14) ― A motorists was injured in a single-vehicle collision Monday, Aug. 18 on the Western Kentucky parkway about five miles east of Central City.
According to a Kentucky State Police report, Bobby Duffer, 45, Hartsville, Tenn., was headed east on the WKP in a 2004 Chevrolet Silverado at about 5:47 a.m. Duffer told police that he attempted to avoid an animal that had entered his path and then lost control of his vehicle. His vehicle struck a guardrail before coming to a final rest in the eastbound lane of the parkway.
Duffer was transported to Muhlenberg Community Hospital for treatment.
Trooper Jerry Knight investigated the collision with Central City Fire Department and Muhlenberg County EMS assisting at the scene.
