community 300CENTRAL CITY, Ky. (8/22/13) – This Sunday, August 25, will be somewhat different from usual services at the Central City United Methodist Church.

Muhlenberg County Sheriff Curtis McGehee and Wellness Center Director Tammy Piper will be the guest speakers, as part of the church's Community Impact.

According to church pastor Kevin Brown, the two will lead worship, report on the state of drug eradication, and lift up efforts to decrease crime and build-up civic pride through Neighborhood Watch. The church will also invite the congregation to be involved in assisting with the music festivities during the fellowship time following the service.

The Community Impact Celebration will be held from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m.

There will be $500 in door prizes, gifts and activities for kids and free lunch. No registration is need.

If you are unable to attend the service but have a need, you are invited to call 754-2770 and leave a prayer concern.
