Class 2A, 5A Regionals Saturday

muhl mustangs band 300MUHLENBERG COUNTY (10/18/13) — This Saturday, the Muhlenberg High School West Campus will likely be filled to capacity as the Marching Mustangs host the Class 2A and 5A Regional Quarterfinals. Plus the Western Kentucky University "Big Red Marching Machine" will also be on hand to perform.

A total of 11 high school bands will compete in class 2A for a chance to go to the state finals and 10 bands are competing in Class 5A. Gates open at 9 a.m. for 2A and at 3:30 p.m. for 5A.

Class 2A competition begins at 11 a.m.

Competitors include:

Caldwell Co High School-11 a.m.
Union Co. High School-11:15 a.m.
Owensboro Catholic High School-11:30 a.m.
Glasgow High School-11:45 a.m.
Trigg Co. High School-12 p.m.
Hancock Co. High School-12:15
Webster Co High School- 12:45 p.m.
Butler Co. High School- 1 p.m.
Metcalfe Co. High School-1:15 p.m.
Todd Co. Central High School- 1:30 p.m.
Edmonson Co. High School- 1:45 p.m.

5A Competition Schedule

Central Hardin High School- 5 p.m.
Woodford Co. High School- 5:15 p.m.
Eastern High School- 5:30 p.m.
Henderson Co High School- 5:45 p.m.
Bullitt East High School- 6 p.m.

Break- 6:15 p.m.

North Hardin High School- 6:30 p.m.
Apollo High School- 6:45 p.m.
Grayson Co. High School- 7 p.m.
Meade Co. High School- 7:15 p.m.
Muhlenberg Co. High School- 7:30 p.m.

Both KMEA Class 2A and 5A State Semifinals will be held Oct. 26 at Papa Johns Cardinal Stadium in Louisville.
