passport-logoLOUISVILLE, Ky. (7/9/14)  Passport Health Plan announced that they have contracted with Owensboro Health Regional Hospital to provide services to members of Passport Health Plan.

Owensboro Health is licensed for 477 beds, has nearly 3,400 staff members and serves the medical needs of nine counties in western Kentucky and two counties in southern Indiana.

“We have a lot of respect for Passport’s 16 years of experience in Medicaid managed care and look forward to building a successful partnership to care for the people we serve,” said Philip Patterson, President and Chief Executive Officer of Owensboro Health Regional Hospital.

According to Mark B. Carter, Chief Executive Officer of Passport Health Plan, “Owensboro Health Regional Hospital and Passport Health Plan not only share a mission to improve the health of those we serve, both strive to collaborate and ensure innovative health care provision.”

Owensboro Health is a non-profit health care system with a mission to heal the sick and to improve the health of the communities it serves.
