oboro police 300OWENSBORO, Ky. (8/18/14) — The Owensboro Police Department has recently received multiple complaints of individuals unlawfully soliciting money and merchandise under false pretenses.

We would like to remind all citizens that it is unlawful to solicit financial assistance, employment, transportation, donations, money, goods or any other services from occupants of motor vehicles or pedestrians, while on a public right-of-way.

If you observe an individual or individuals soliciting from a public right-of way please contact the Owensboro Police Department at (270) 687-8888.
