hendersoncountychoollogo maroonHENDERSON, Ky. (6/15/17) — Matthew Richeson has been named Assistant Principal for Henderson County High School.

Richeson is a graduate of Western Kentucky University where he received his bachelors of education, Oakland City University with a Masters of Secondary Education, and the University of the Cumberlands with a Masters of Administration.

Richeson has been a Social Studies teacher at Henderson County High School since 2002 where he previously served as an SBDM Council member and the Boys Golf coach. He currently serves as the Boy/Girls Head Tennis Coach and a Freshman Team Leader.

Richeson noted, “I am humbled to accept the position of Assistant Principal of the Green Unit. It is truly an honor to be given the opportunity to work with the students and staff of Henderson County High School in a different role. I am eager to make a positive contribution to the continuing academic success of this institution.”

Kimberly Marshall has been named Assistant Principal for South Middle School.

Marshall is a graduate of the University of Kentucky where she received her bachelor of arts in Education and Murray State University where she received her Master of Arts in Secondary Education and Rank 1 in Educational Leadership and Supervision.

Marshall has been serving as substitute Assistant Principal at South Middle since January 2017 and was interim Assistant Principal at North Middle School during the 2014-2015 school year.

The mission of Henderson County Schools is to provide extraordinary educational opportunities for every student.

Marshall also served as Principal of Henderson County High School from 2008-2012 before retiring with 27 years of service in education.

Marshall noted, “I am excited to continue to serve the students and families at South Middle School and the Henderson County Schools community as we continue to be focused on extraordinary educational opportunities for all.”
