HOPKINS COUNTY (2/12/12)—In addition to posting several big wins throughout this last week, area high school basketball teams also dominated across-the-board matchups against Fort Campbell, KY.
While there were 5 losses posted for Dawson Springs’ independent teams, there were seven wins recorded out of 11 other games played by county/district teams.
While the Central Storm walked away the winner in a bout against Fort Campbell and Caldwell County earlier this past week (88-62; 74-61), the team took an unfortunate 20-point loss against Hopkinsville during an away game on February 11th.
Showcasing the talents of our local women’s high school teams, Madisonville’s Lady Maroons and Hopkins County Central’s Lady Storm gained wins both as guests and as a home-court host (HHCHS). Alongside the Lady Maroons, who claimed a 14-point victory against the Fort Campbell on the road (51-37), the Lady Storm posted a win against Fort Campbell (56-49) and showed off at home with a win against Trigg County’s Lady Wildcats (69-55).
