Salvation Army Treasure of the Week – Tears of Elvis

HOPKINS COUNTY, KY (2/17/12) – SurfKY News is partnering with the Salvation Army of Madisonville, KY, located on McCoy Avenue, to present particular special treasures available to local citizens on a weekly basis.
 
This weeks’ treasure is an amazing work of art deeply rooted in musical history. The print that you see posted here is entitled Tears of Elvis. Originally a painting by acclaimed artist, Deborah Colburn Rouen, this print of Elvis Presley was created in the late 1970’s. The print quickly rose in popularity and, over the years, has been more and more difficult to obtain.

The Tears of Elvis print has sold for over $100.00 in the past. Currently, the Salvation Army is offering it for $50.00. This is a first-come first-serve basis. Local art collectors and enthusiasts are encouraged to visit the Salvation Army quickly if you wish to obtain this amazing example of passionate art.
