carr 5 19 2017HOPKINS COUNTY, Ky. (5/19/17) — Carhartt (America’s premium workwear brand since 1889) received the 2017 Governor’s Safety and Health Award presented by The Kentucky Labor Cabinet at the Madisonville Cutting Facility Thursday, as a result of no reported lost-time injury or illness of 250,000 man hours worked this year.

The cutting facility has received the award for the third consecutive year, and in July, Madisonville will achieve 11 years without a lost-time incident, with no OSHA recordable injury this year.

In addition, Carhartt's RCV Distribution Center has also been awarded the Governor's Safety and Health award for 2017. This is the second time RCV has won the award (once previously in 2014). This is also the second time two Carhartt facilities have received the award in the same year. The last was in 2014, when Edmonton and RCV won the award.

Carhartt’s President and COO, Linda Hubbard accepted the award at the Kentucky Safety and Health Award Ceremony in honor of the 40 plus hardworking men and women of the facility, and the best-in-class safety and training culture the company’s Madisonville associates abide by every day to earn this recognition.
