MADISONVILLE, KY - Thomas Hays, 56, of Madisonville, KY passed away on Sunday, February 12, 2012 at Vanderbilt Medical Center in Nashville.

He was born July 11, 1955 in Lincoln Co., KY to the late William Hays and Melvina Cox Hays. He was also preceded in death by nine brothers and sister, Cletus Hays, Chessie Hale, Fay Robinson, Maxine Hays, Judy Hays, Jeff Hays, John Hays, Evelyn O’Malley and Sherry Lynn Hays.

Mr. Hays was a team leader for Lebco Hydraulics. He was loved and admired by his family and friends.

He is survived by his wife, Kathryn Sue Bratcher Hays of Madisonville; one daughter, Angelia Hays of Nashville, TN; one brother, John Thomas Hays of Madisonville; three sisters, Susie Cook; Madeline Osburn and Wanda Kay Rucker; one brother, Cephis Hays; half sister, Penny Simons; half brother, Adam Hays; step mother, Anna Hays and step sister, Darla Robinson;

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M. Thursday, February 16, 2012 at the Barnett-Strother Funeral Home with Bro. David Durham officiating. Burial will follow in New Salem Cemetery in Mortons Gap.

Visitation will be from 4:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. on Wednesday and after 12:00 P.M. until service time on Thursday at the funeral Home.

Pallbearers will be Mark Miller, Bo Corbitt, Jimmy Cobb, Ben Baxter, Jimmy Hight, Mike Stagner, Tiki Woodward, and Travis Smith. Honorary pallbearers will be Clayton Sisk, Owen Sisk and Gordon Bratcher.
