MADISONVILLE, KY -  Mary Catherine Turner, 74, of Madisonville, KY, passed away Tuesday, February 21, 2012 at the Auburn Health Care Nursing Home in Auburn, KY.

She was born December 7, 1937 in Franklin, KY to the late John Thomas Rutherford and Mary Sue McCarley Rutherford.

Mrs. Turner was a member of the White Plains Church of Christ and the Pioneers. She retired from BellSouth in 1996. Her grandchildren were her life.

She is survived by one daughter, Jennifer Turner Lail of Madisonville; one son, Thomas Edward Turner of Franklin; her former husband, John Lewis Turner of Madisonville; two sisters, Jane Gautier and Carol Black both of Franklin; one brother, Ronnie Rutherford of Russellville, KY; and four grandchildren, Kelsie Marie Turner, Trevor Turner Lail, Lincoln Andrew Lail and Lance Barrett Lail.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M. Saturday, February 25, 2012 at the Barnett-Strother Funeral Home with Bro. George Wunderlich officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens in Madisonville.

Friends may call from 11:00 A.M. Saturday until the service time at the funeral Home.

Pallbearers will be Thomas Turner, William Simmons, Brian Lail, Trevor Lail, Ronnie Rutherford and Ronald Black.

Memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
