HOPKINSVILLE, KY (2/6/12) – A Hopkinsville pastor is spotlighting Godly marriage during the month of February. Pastor Vince Farrell of Christ Community Church says he has dedicated his messages this month to the topic of “Two Becoming One.”
As marriages have come under attack both outside and inside the church, Pastor Farrell wants to share Biblical principles on what it takes for marriage to work, “There’s got to be a lot of give and take and a lot of I’m sorry and a lot of forgive me.” He began this past Sunday laying the foundation for the series and covering what Biblical love really looks like.
Farrell says the information this month will be helpful to anyone regardless of their marital situation. He does say that those who are dating could find it most useful, “They’re exploring their options, they’re looking around for who to date and marry… this will give them a foundation of who to look for and what marriage should and could look like.”
He says it is key to realize that God holds the answers for marriage, “So, if God created marriage then what He has to say about it should hold some weight.” Farrell continues by reminding us that marriage points to something bigger, “The way I relate to my wife and she relates to me and we raise children, that whole context of family is supposed to illustrate God’s love for mankind.”
Pastor Farrell’s series on love, dating and marriage will continue every Sunday at 10:30 a.m. during the month of February. Christ Community Church is located at 425 Millbrooke Drive in Hopkinsville. For more information, go to their website at www.christcommunity.com.
