Chamber Tuesday Training

CHAMBER hop 2012

HOPKINSVILLE, KY (1/24/12) – “Turning Marketing into Dollars” was the topic of the latest Tuesday Training session sponsored by the Christian County Chamber of Commerce. Guest speaker was Bernie Starr, an advertising consultant with the Kentucky New Era, Fort Campbell Courier and Eagle Post.

Starr says the objective in business is to see it grow, “The goal here was to think out of the box and to try and go for some of that market that’s out there that they don’t currently have.” Starr hopes people can walk out with one piece of information that will help bring in new dollars. He says that would make this training a success.

Starr also addressed multimedia marketing that incorporates websites with social media such as Facebook and Twitter. He recommends, “If you have it, drive it.” He says this includes utilizing smart phone technology such as adding apps and QR codes to embrace multimedia marketing opportunities.

The Tuesday Training sessions are offered once a month through the Christian County Chamber of Commerce. Vice President of Membership Development DeeAnna Yates says the program is designed for small business, “We try to bring things that make sense… that our small businesses can take back with them…whether it’s marketing, or how to manage employees, whether it’s security for their small business…that’s the whole point.”

The next Tuesday Training will be on February 28 from 7:30 – 9:00 a.m. The topic is “Selecting and Managing Your Staff.” To RSVP call 270-885-9096 or email This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it .
