
MARSHALL COUNTY, KY (1/18/12) – This past week the Marshall County school system was visited by the State Commissioner of Education Dr. Terry Holliday.
Dr. Holliday started his visit by having a roundtable discussion with Superintendent Trent Lovett, Board Chairman Rocky Hudson, and other administrators from the central office and schools. Dr. Holliday gave a brief analysis of what will be the primary discussions of the legislatures that will affect education at the General Assembly.
Dr. Holliday also opened the discussion on what shortcomings that we see within our own district due to budget cut constraints.
After Dr. Holliday left the central office he took a tour to visit four of our ten schools. Those visited were North Marshall Middle, Benton Middle, Benton Elementary and Marshall County High School.
