Accident Injury 01 green 300KUTTAWA, Ky. (7/11/17) — According to a Kentucky State Police report, KSP Post 1 is investigating a two vehicle collision that sent one person to the hospital.

The report said at approximately 5:25 p.m., troopers responded to the 5 mile marker of Kentucky 810 North.

Preliminary investigation shown that Virginia Norris, 70, of Kuttawa, was traveling south on Kentucky 810 North in a 2002 Jeep Liberty and Edna Brauner, 83, of Kuttawa, was traveling north on Kentucky 810 attempting to turn west onto George Thomas Road in a 2011 Chevrolet truck. Brauner did not see Norris and turned in front of her striking Norris in the front, left of the vehicle. The impact caused Norris to travel approximately 25 yards off the roadway into the woods. Norris was the only occupant of the vehicle.

Norris suffered non-life threatening injuries and was transported by Lyon County EMS to Western Baptist. There were two occupants of the Chevrolet truck and they did not report any injuries. The Kentucky State Police was assisted by the Kuttawa Fire Department, Lyon County EMS, Stinnetts and M&P Towing.

The investigation is continuing by Trooper Derral Redwine. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Kentucky State Police Post 1 at (270) 856-3721 or anonymously at (800) 222-5555.
