EDDYVILLE, KY - Phillip Gordon (Babe) Sutton, 71, of Eddyville, passed away at 12:55 A.M. Saturday, February 18, 2012 in Lourdes Hospital in Paducah.

Babe Sutton was a retired farmer and logger. He was a member of New Bethel Baptist Church in Lyon County.

He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Ann Daughtrey Sutton; two sons, Kurt Sutton and his wife, Joni of Reidland, Chris Sutton and his wife, Denise of Lyon County; one daughter, Deeann Board and her husband, Shane, of Lyon County ; five grandchildren, Rhett Sutton of Reidland, Kit Sutton, Dare Sutton, Shayann Board and Gabe Board, all of Lyon County; two brothers, Leon Sutton of Eddyville and Rex Sutton of Ashland, KY. Several nieces and nephews also survive.

He was preceded in death by an infant son, Mark Sutton; one brother, Stacy Sutton and his parents, Kelly Sutton and Mable O'Daniel Sutton.

Visitation will be 5:00-8:00 P.M., Monday, February 20, 2012 at Lakeland Funeral Home in Eddyville.

Services will be 1:00 P.M. Tuesday, February 21, 2012 at Lakeland Funeral Home Chapel in Eddyville with Rev. Don Short, Dr. Jerrell White and Bro. Shane Board officiating with burial in New Bethel Cemetery in Lyon County.
