CADIZ, KY - Karlton K. (Hoppy) Hopson, age 87, of Cadiz, KY, passed away on Monday, February 20, 2012, at his residence in Cadiz, KY.

Mr. Hopson retired as a heavy equipment operator. He was a member of Cadiz Christian Church. He was a member of Cerulean Masonic Lodge #875, Rizpah Shrine Temple & International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Union.

He is survived by his Wife Violet "Vi" Hopson, Cadiz, KY, Daughter Kelly B. Hopson, Cadiz, KY, Two Stepsons Richard Bruce, San Marcos, CA & Kenneth Bruce, Fairfield, CA, Stepdaughter Barbara Martin, Cadiz, KY, Grandchildren, John Raymond Hopson & Austin Derek Hopson, Step Grandchildren Rana Underwood, Penny Baker, Ashley Olds, Shelby Mitchell, Krista Gonzales, Tori Bruce, Carson Bruce & Kimberly Shelton, Seven Step Great Grandchildren, Niece Janette Bennett & Great Niece Jennifer Bennett of Chicago, IL.

He was preceded in death by his Parents Sam Wheeler & Edward Kelly Boyd Hopson, Sr., Two Brothers Sam Wheeler Hopson, Jr. & George Hopson.

Arrangements are being handled by Goodwin Funeral Home, Inc., 138 Main St. -P.O. Box 2050 Cadiz, KY 42211-031 in Cadiz, KY where the family will receive friends after 4:00 PM on Thursday, February 23, 2012.

Funeral Service will be at Goodwin Funeral Home at 11:00 AM Friday, February 24, 2012 with the Reverend Billy Joe Nichols & Reverend Kenneth Bruce officiating. Burial will follow at Wall Cemetery in Wallonia, KY.
