MUHLENBERG COUNTY, KY (2/20/12) - Individuals interested in becoming a lifeguard will have
the opportunity to participate in training and obtain certification in March.
Lifeguard training will be taught by Megan Chaney at the Central City Convention Center, on the following dates:
Friday, April 13, 5PM - 9PM
Saturday, April 14, 9PM - 5PM
Saturday, April 15, 9AM - 5PM
Sunday, April 22, 9AM - 5PM
To earn certification and complete training, participants must attend class all four days.
According to Megan Chaney, "CCCC will be hiring 12 - 15 lifeguards from this class."
The training cost is $300 (all inclusive). Upon completion, lifeguards will receive a 2 year certification.
Students must be age 15 by the last day of class. Megan Chaney stated, "You do not have to be on the swim team to be a lifeguard but you do need to be a good swimmer who can pick up an object from the 10 ft area with no problem."
