Drakesboro Woman Arrested During Theft Investigation

MUHLENBERG COUNTY, KY (2/21/12) - A Drakesboro woman was arrested by Deputy Sheriff Troy Gibson, BlankenshipKimon Friday, Feb. 17, as a result of an investigation on a stolen vehicle, cash and credit cards, according to Muhlenberg County Sheriff's Dept.

35-year-old Kimberly Blankenship, of 114 Mose Rager Blvd, was located with the stolen vehicle on Withrow Street in Central City.

Blankenship was transported to the Muhlenberg County Detention Center on charges of Theft by Unlawful Taking/Auto; Fraud. Use of Credit Cards, and Theft by Unlawful Taken/Disp. – All Others.

According to officers, upon arrival at the detention center, "Blankenship spit her gum out, attached to a small baggy of suspected methamphetamine."

After recovering the gum and suspected meth, Deputy Gibson added charges of Tampering with Physical Evidence, Possession of Controlled Substance, first degree, first offense (methamphetamine), and Promoting Contraband, first degree.

Blankenship was arraigned in Muhlenberg District Court before Judge Brian Crick. Assisting Gibson were Central City PD officers and Special Deputy Clint Jackson.
