Jariel J. (Jerry) Robinson, 97, of Central City

 

CENTRAL CITY, KY - Jariel J. (Jerry) Robinson, 97, of Central City, passed away Wednesday, February 15, 2012 at Muhlenberg Community Hospital.

He was born in Ferguson, Iowa, December 11, 1914 to the late Alva J. and Maggie Booth Robinson. He was a long time employee of Fisher Controls in Marshalltown, Iowa, retiring as an Industrial Engineer. He served in the Civilian Conservation Corp during the 1930's. He served in the United States Navy Seabees in the Pacific during WWII. He was a member of the Central City Lions Club, and St. Josephs Catholic Church, and a Kentucky Colonel.

He was preceded in death by his parents, four siblings,his wife, Betty, and a granddaughter.

Mr. Robinson in survived by one brother, Carl (Esther) of California; two sons, Jerry (Susan) Robinson of Okaboji, IA and Jim (Peggy) Robinson of Central City; and a daughter, Jackie (Doug) Kruse of Cable, WI; three grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be Monday, February 20, 2012 at 10:00AM at St. Josephs Catholic Church in Central Cith, with Father Ben Luther officiating. Tucker Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Online condolences may be made at www.tuckerfuneralhomes.com.
