GREENVILLE, KY - William Paul Stewart Sr., 78 of Greenville, Ky. died Saturday morning February 18, 2012 at 7:50 a.m. in the Maple Manor Nursing Home Greenville, Ky. after a lengthy illness. William was born in Muhlenberg County APRIL 9, 1933 the son of Johny Brook Stewart and Martha Jane Stewart. He was a member of Pleasant Hill Missionary Baptist Church and was an Army Veteran serving from 1953 to 1955. He worked for Illinois Central Railroad and was an auto mechanic. William was preceded in death by his parents, son Kent Anthony Stewart in 1980, brothers Lloyd Stewart and Tommy Stewart.
He is survived by his wife of 58 years

Funeral services will be conducted Monday February 20,2012 at 2:00 p.m. at Gary’s Funeral Home Greenville, Ky. by his son-in-law Rev. William Pirkle with burial to follow in Corley Chapel Cemetery Graham, Ky.
