MUHLENBERG COUNTY, Ky. (9/19/13) – This Saturday, Sept. 21, the Muhlenberg County High School band will be traveling to Glasgow, KY to compete in the Barren County High School Marching Band Festival Competition.
The contest will consist of preliminary and finals format.
The band will hold practice from 8:00 – 9:15 a.m. at West Campus and leave for Barren County at 9:45 a.m.
The Mustangs will perform at 2:30 p.m. with finals beginning at 5:00 p.m., and awards presented at 8:15 p.m.
The official schedule includes the opening ceremony at 10:45 a.m.
Murray performs at 12:00 p.m., followed by Estill County at 12:15, Todd County Central at 12:30, Glasgow at 12:45, Wayne County at 1 p.m., Russell County at 1:30 p.m., Allen County-Scottsville at 1:45 p.m., Adair County at 2:00 p.m., Greenwood at 2:15 p.m., and Muhlenberg County at 2:30 p.m. Preliminary Awards will be presented at 3:00.
Finalists will perform beginning at 5:00 p.m. with Barren County performing at 7:45 p.m., followed by the Lindsey Wilson College Band at 8:00 p.m. and finalists’ trophies presented immediately following the LWC performance.
On the following Saturday, the Mustang Marching Band will compete at Castle High School and Evansville North.
