FRANKFORT, Ky. (7/26/13) - Online registration is underway for the 37th Governor’s Conference on Energy and the Environment, sponsored by the Kentucky Energy and Environment Cabinet. This year’s event takes place Sept. 17-18 at the Lexington Convention Center.
The goal of the conference is to create a dialogue among government, community, academic and business leaders on how to take advantage of opportunities and tackle the energy and environmental challenges presented in today’s world.
“Each year, this conference is attracting a greater number of professionals and others who care about Kentucky’s environment and how, together, we are going to meet the energy needs of our state and nation and do so in a responsible manner,” said Energy and Environment Secretary Len Peters. “This conversation and subsequent actions are becoming more important every day.”
Topics include energy efficiency, renewables, manufacturing and the economic value of Kentucky’s forest industries, and much more. To register, visit the cabinet’s conference website at http://eec.ky.gov/Pages/conference.aspx.
Early-bird prices for those who register before Aug. 7 are $175 for the full conference; $110 for day one; and $85 for day two.
After Aug. 7, conference prices increase to $200 for the full conference; $125 for day one; and $100 for day two.
The conference includes an exhibit hall for vendors wishing to display energy- and environment-related products and services. Vendors also may register and pay online at http://eec.ky.gov/Pages/conference.aspx.
