lacy elementary 300HOPKINSVILLE, Ky. (6/27/13) – Mr. Mike Kenner will serve as the new interim principal at Lacy Elementary. The Lacy Site Based Decision Making Council met last week to discuss the hiring of an interim principal, while the school continues its search for a new principal.

Kenner is a Western Kentucky University graduate. He holds a degree in Agribusiness, a Master’s in Education and his Rank I in Administration. Kenner has 34 years of experience as a classroom teacher, assistant principal, a highly skilled educator (HSE) and a Superintendent in Todd County.

Superintendent Mary Ann Gemmill states, “Mr. Kenner will be a great addition to Lacy Elementary. He brings a wealth of educational knowledge and experience and we are fortunate to have him with us.”

Kenner says he is eager to begin working with students, staff, parents and the community. Mr. Kenner began his duties as interim principal on Wednesday, June 26, 2013.
