golf6 300HOPKINSVILLE, Ky. (9/23/13) – With a little more than a week remaining, the 23rd Annual Hopkinsville Community College Foundation’s Golf Scramble, renamed a few years ago in honor of long-time board member, HCC supporter and member of the first graduating class, Mike Foster is set to field a record number of teams of regional duffers.

Todd Morris, co-chair of the scramble says that sponsorships and team registrations are up from a year ago, and hopes to have nearly 30 teams playing. The scramble, slated for Friday, October 4 at The Links at Novadell begins with a shotgun start at 8:30 a.m. “This year, because of the scramble, the Foundation will give away nearly $23,000 for textbook scholarship alone, and over $95,000 in other scholarships. The scramble kicks off our season of fund-raising events,” concluded Morris.

The cost per team of four is $500 for green fees and cars, and includes a full breakfast, lunch, and premium gift for every player. $1,200 in prize money for flight winners will be awarded, along with other prizes for contest including longest drive, putting, closest to the pin. “We are grateful for the continued corporate support of Toyota of Hopkinsville, Max Arnold and Sons and US Bank,” concluded Morris. Golfers can register for the scramble by calling the college at 270-707-3733.
