OAK GROVE, Ky. (1/9/14) - A Kentucky State Police investigation into a single-vehicle fatality has concluded after an autopsy was performed today in Madisonville.

The autopsy results revealed that Andrew J. Arnold, 29, of Clarksville, Tenn., died as the result of a medical condition and not as a result injuries sustained in the collision.

According to a KSP report, Arnold was operating a 2008 International Loomis armored vehicle eastbound at 2:48 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 8 on Interstate 24. For an undetermined reason, the vehicle exited the right shoulder of the roadway. It traveled up an embankment, and then back down. The vehicle reentered the roadway and overturned as it crossed both eastbound lanes. It came to rest upright in the median.

Arnold was pronounced dead at the scene by the Christian County Coroner Doris Lamb. He was wearing a seatbelt. The passenger, Robert J. Damer, 38, of Chapmansboro, Tenn., was transported by Air Evac to TriStar Skyline Medical Center in Nashville for treatment. It is unknown if Damer was restrained.

Trooper Michael Dennis is continuing the investigation. KSP Post 2 officers, The Christian County Sheriff's Department, Oak Grove Fire & Rescue, Oak Grove EMS, Air Evac, the Christian County Coroner's Office and the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet assisted at the scene.

The preliminary investigation revealed that Andrew J. Arnold, 29 of Clarksville, Tenn., was operating a 2008 International Loomis armored vehicle eastbound on Interstate 24.
