CHRISTIAN COUNTY, Ky. (1/17/14) — State Trooper Jim McArthur was on the Edward T. Breathett Pennyrile Parkway Tuesday, Jan. 14 near the four mile marker when he observed a motor cycle traveling southbound at a high rate of speed.
According to the Kentucky State Police report, McArthur activated his emergency equipment and pursued the motorcycle on parkway until they reached Interstate 24 eastbound. The motorcycle then exited at the 86 mile marker and failed to negotiate the curve.
Dana E. Grice Jr., 33, of Clarksville, Tenn. was transported to Jennie Stuart Medical Center, where he was treated and released.
Grice was charged with fleeing/evading the police, first degree, motor vehicle, speeding 26 MPH or greater over speed limit, reckless driving, and no motorcycle operator license.
He is currently being lodged in the Christian County Detention Center.
