SurfKY News Welcomes New Reporter to Owensboro Office

taylor rileyOWENSBORO, Ky. (7/10/13) – On Monday, SurfKY News Group welcomed Taylor Riley as the newest member of the Region 3 news team.

Riley, a Lawrenceburg native, is a 2013 graduate of the University of Kentucky, where she majored in Journalism and minored in English. She was a member of Alpha Gamma Delta Sorority.

“I’m really excited to begin my career at SurfKY,” said Riley. “I know it is going to be a great opportunity for me.”

Riley has contributed to Story Magazine, Business Lexington, and North of Center, all based in Lexington.

“We’re glad to have Taylor on our staff,” said Region 3 News Director Dennis Beard. “Developing skill at writing news articles isn’t always easy, but Taylor’s portfolio had well-written stories in it that made me confident she would be a good addition to the Owensboro staff. She is doing a great job here.”
