Owensboro Man Arrested in 2008 Trigg County Murder Case

murder arrest 300TRIGG COUNTY, Ky. (9/6/13) – On September 5, 2013 the Kentucky State Police obtained an arrest warrant on Seth C. Hooks, 28 of Owensboro, KY for the murder of Harvey Choate in March 2008. The Owensboro Police Department served the arrest warrant on Hooks and he was lodged in the Daviess County Jail.
 
On September 3, 2013 the Trigg County Sheriff’s Office received a tip about Hooks. Hooks was interviewed by the Kentucky State Police and Trigg County Sheriff’s Office. The interviewed resulted in KSP obtaining an arrest warrant along with new evidence linking Hooks to the murder.
 
The investigation is continuing by Detective Steve Silfies.
 
Detective Silfies has received assistance from the Owensboro Police Department and the Trigg County Sherriff’s Office.
