OPD Closes Seven Burglary Cases with Arrest

arrest leachOWENSBORO, Ky. (10/23/13) - On Tuesday, at approximately 12:30 p.m., the Owensboro Police Department closed seven cases of burglary spanning a period of three months with the arrest of one subject, Alvin C. Leachman, 57.

The burglaries in question began in Dec. 2012 and continued through Feb. 2013. There was a combined total of over $800 in money, merchandise, and damages. The ongoing investigations have led to the following cases being solved:

–Audubon Community Services, 1416 W. 9th Steet – December 5, 2012
–Foust Elementary School, 601 Foust Avenue – January 27, 2013
–Board of Education, 1335 W. 11th Street – January 27, 2013
–Miracle Ear, 1915 W. Parrish Avenue – February 3, 2013
–1731 W. Parrish Avenue (vacant business) – February 3, 2013
–Frantz Cleaners, 1326 W. 9th Street – February 3, 2013
–Edge Ice Arena, 1400 Hickman Avenue – February 23, 2013

Leachman was charged with seven counts of third degree burglary, which is a Class D felony. He is being lodged in the Daviess County Detention Center.
